Kianna Jackson

Kianna Jackson has more than 14 years of litigation experience. She has substantial experience in insurance defense and has worked in-house and with multiple insurance companies. She also spent time as a plaintiff personal injury attorney. This experience provided her with a deep understanding as to how plaintiffs develop their claims and lawsuits, and therefore she expertly knows how to defend her insurance defense clients against those claims and lawsuits.  She has tried almost 50 jury trials and multiple bench trials.

Kianna’s background includes litigating premises liability, personal injury, uninsured and underinsured motorist, workers’ compensation, general liability cases as well as homeowners association disputes and real property matters. She also has experience with Social Security Disability and Veterans Administration claims. She has achieved great outcomes for her clients, including multiple defense verdicts and a directed verdict.

Kianna has also taken and defended hundreds of depositions, and has successfully argued a variety of summary judgment motions. She has also resolved hundreds of cases through alternative dispute resolution, including mediation and settlement conferences.

Work history

During law school, Kianna worked with a legal professor doing primary source research regarding the details of the storied case that resulted in the codification of Federal Rule of Evidence 804(3) regarding testimony of intent. After law school, Kianna worked for a plaintiff’s personal injury law firm and then insurance defense firms, where she specialized in defending business and personal line defendants in motor vehicle cases, bicycle and pedestrian versus car cases. She also concentrated on premises liability cases involving livestock and fencing; slip and falls involving commercial snow plow companies; and complex personal injury litigation involving workers’ compensation maters.
